Electric Vehicle Service Technician – Dubai

About the role

As an Electric Vehicle Service Technician with Al‑Futtaim Automotive, you will join BYD’s after‑sales team in Dubai, working on the latest EV models. The role focuses on diagnosing, maintaining and repairing electric vehicles while ensuring safety, quality and customer satisfaction.

Key responsibilities

• Perform diagnostics, maintenance and repairs on BYD electric vehicles.
• Identify and troubleshoot high‑voltage components, battery systems and charging equipment.
• Execute repairs following manufacturer guidelines and EV safety standards.
• Conduct vehicle inspections and support Electronic Vehicle Check (EVC) reporting.
• Adhere to high‑voltage safety procedures, workshop processes and 5S standards.
• Manage parts, tools and workshop resources efficiently.
• Collaborate with supervisors and team members to deliver exceptional customer service.

Required profile

• Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting abilities.
• Experience in vehicle maintenance and repair.
• Good communication skills in English.
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
• Passion for electric mobility and new technologies.
