Electrical BIM Engineer

About the role

Jacobs is looking for an Electrical BIM Engineer to join its Cities and Places team in Dubai. The role supports the delivery of multidisciplinary design documentation and BIM models across a variety of projects, ensuring compliance with project BIM requirements, industry standards and Jacobs' digital delivery strategy.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain high-quality BIM models using Revit and related software.
• Produce accurate design drawings, schedules and project documentation.
• Coordinate BIM models with architectural, structural, MEP and other engineering teams.
• Take part in BIM coordination meetings and resolve clashes through collaborative workflows.
• Support the implementation of BIM Execution Plans, standards and quality procedures.
• Manage model updates and ensure compliance with project BIM requirements and Common Data Environment (CDE) protocols.
• Assist in model audits, quality checks and data validation.
• Support BIM best practices and continuous improvement initiatives.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline.
• Experience in multidisciplinary BIM coordination on building or infrastructure projects.
• Strong understanding of BIM workflows, model management and engineering documentation.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills within multidisciplinary teams; proactive, detail-oriented approach.
• Advantage: experience supporting BIM best practices and mentoring team members.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Revit for BIM modelling and design documentation.
• Working knowledge of ACC/BIM 360, Navisworks and CDE processes.
• Familiarity with ISO 19650 and BIM delivery standards.
• Clash detection, model reviews and virtual coordination.
