Electrical BOP & Grid Expert

About the role

Act as the technical advisor for Electrical BOP and grid scope during developer bid reviews and RFP/specification preparation. Provide due‑diligence, risk identification and support for contract negotiations.

Key responsibilities

• Lead technical due diligence and verify compliance with project/off‑taker requirements.
• Identify risks and deviations, prepare clarifications and support technical evaluation.
• Contribute to contract schedules, negotiation support and technical schedule reviews.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in an engineering discipline.
• 12+ years experience in power‑plant electrical systems, HV grid connection, protection/control and grid‑code compliance.
• Professional registration, chartership or OEM/utility/off‑taker experience preferred.

Required skills

• Generator, IPB, GSUT/UAT, HV GIS/AIS, MV/LV switchgear, protection and control, metering, auxiliary power, black‑start, earthing, lightning protection.
• Power system studies and grid‑code compliance (IEC 60076, IEC 62271, IEC 61850, IEC 60255, IEC 60909, IEEE/IEC grounding standards, local Grid Code).
• Software: ETAP, DIgSILENT, PSCAD.
• Commercial/contract awareness: ability to read and comment on IPP/PPA/EPC technical schedules, guarantees, performance clauses and acceptance testing requirements.
