Electrical CAD Technician – Abu Dhabi

About the role

Parsons Corporation is seeking an experienced Electrical CAD Technician to join its construction supervision team in Abu Dhabi. You will be responsible for producing detailed engineering drawings for lighting, infrastructure and utility networks, supporting road and utility projects across the region.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare engineering drawings (layouts, flow sheets, isometrics, road cross‑sections, utility networks) using a CAD workstation from sketches and design data.
• Ensure drawings comply with relevant codes and company standards such as ANSI, PFI and ASME.
• Perform dimensional calculations and compile data required for accurate drawing production.
• Develop and update road grading plans, traffic signage, temporary traffic management and underground utility layouts.
• Coordinate with architects, engineers, clients and other stakeholders to align drawings with project requirements.
• Conduct quality‑control checks and revise drawings based on feedback.

Required profile

• Minimum 8 years of experience in CAD drafting for electrical and civil infrastructure projects.
• Strong knowledge of engineering standards and ability to interpret technical manuals.
• Proven ability to work independently, meet deadlines and manage multiple drawing packages.

Required skills

• Proficiency with CAD software (AutoCAD, Revit, Civil 3D).
• Understanding of electrical engineering concepts and utility network design.
• Experience creating 2D orthographic and 3D isometric drawings.
