Electrical Delivery Engineer – Power Transmission Projects

About the role

The Electrical Delivery Engineer will support the TRANSCO‑NEXUS project in Abu Dhabi, overseeing construction, commissioning and hand‑over of substations, grid‑stations, STATCOM and overhead lines. Reporting to the Program Delivery Manager, the role ensures engineering, procurement and construction activities are delivered safely, on schedule and within budget.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor day‑to‑day on‑site activities, schedules and performance across all project phases.
• Lead planning, execution and delivery of the power transmission package, coordinating EPC and supervision consultants.
• Facilitate communication among clients, contractors, vendors and regulatory bodies.
• Develop and maintain project management plans, resource allocation and KPI tracking.
• Prepare regular progress reports, highlight risks and implement mitigation strategies.
• Ensure compliance with safety standards and industry regulations throughout the project lifecycle.
• Provide technical guidance to project teams and oversee commissioning and energisation plans.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years experience in power transmission construction, preferably as a PMC, supervision consultant or EPC.

Required skills
