Electrical Delivery Engineer – Power Transmission Projects

About the role

The Program Delivery Assistant Engineer – Electrical will report to the Project Delivery Managers on the TRANSCO‑NEXUS project in Abu Dhabi. The role focuses on construction, commissioning and hand‑over of substations, gid‑stations, STATCOM and overhead lines, overseeing multiple supervision consultants and EPC contractors.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor day‑to‑day on‑site activities, schedules and performance across all project phases.
• Lead planning, execution and delivery of the power transmission package, ensuring alignment with project goals, timelines and budget.
• Coordinate activities of supervision consultants, EPC teams and vendors, maintaining clear communication among all stakeholders.
• Develop and implement comprehensive project management plans, schedules and resource allocations.
• Track project performance against KPIs, prepare regular progress reports and implement corrective actions when needed.
• Ensure compliance with safety standards, industry regulations and quality requirements throughout the project lifecycle.
• Provide technical guidance to project teams and oversee the commissioning and energisation plan.
• Facilitate risk management processes, identify and mitigate project risks, and maintain strong client relationships.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in power transmission construction, preferably on large‑scale projects.
• Proven experience as a PMC, supervision consultant or EPC on complex transmission projects.
