Electrical Engineer – Construction & Oil & Gas Projects

About the role

We are looking for a full‑time Electrical Engineer to join our Abu Dhabi team on a hybrid basis. The role involves designing, reviewing and optimizing electrical systems for construction, industrial and oil‑and‑gas projects while ensuring compliance with codes and standards.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare electrical drawings, schematics, layouts and technical specifications using AutoCAD, Revit or similar tools.
• Perform load calculations, load‑flow and fault analysis, and optimise power distribution for low‑ and medium‑voltage systems.
• Coordinate with multidisciplinary project teams, contractors and clients to ensure design intent is met on site.
• Conduct site inspections, support commissioning, troubleshoot issues and verify installations against design documents and safety requirements.
• Assist in project planning, cost estimation and continuous improvement of engineering processes.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering (or Diploma with 8 years UAE experience).
• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in the UAE, preferably in industrial, construction or oil‑and‑gas environments.
• Strong knowledge of industry standards, safety regulations and power‑system reliability.

Required skills

• Electrical design and documentation (schematics, layouts).
• Power distribution – low‑ and medium‑voltage panels, switchgear, protective devices.
• Power system analysis – load‑flow, fault analysis, system optimisation.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD, Revit, ETAP or equivalent engineering software.
