Electrical Engineer – Construction Supervision & Quality Control

About the role

Join AECOM in Dubai as an Electrical Engineer responsible for supervising electrical works on major infrastructure projects. You will ensure quality, safety and compliance while coordinating with multiple stakeholders.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise electrical works for roads, bridges, underpasses and related infrastructure, including street lighting, feeder pillars, LV cable networks and architectural lighting.
• Verify that installations meet approved designs, specifications and authority requirements.
• Review shop drawings, material submittals, method statements and inspection test plans for all electrical components.
• Witness testing, commissioning and energisation activities, confirming system performance and safety integration.
• Coordinate with DEWA for supply connections, inspections and NOC approvals, and liaise with other authorities and utility providers.
• Collaborate with civil, structural and mechanical teams to ensure seamless integration of electrical works.
• Maintain inspection records, progress reports and punch lists for hand‑over documentation.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in civil or electrical engineering (mandatory).
• 3‑5 years of relevant experience in the UAE on similar projects.

Required skills

• Construction supervision and quality control of electrical installations.
• Review of shop drawings, material submittals and inspection test plans.
• Testing, commissioning and energisation of electrical systems.
• Coordination with DEWA and other authorities for approvals and NOC.
• Cross‑discipline coordination with civil, structural and mechanical teams.
