Electrical Engineer

About the role

AECOM, a global infrastructure consulting firm, is hiring an Electrical Engineer in Abu Dhabi on a contract basis. The engineer works under general supervision, applying standard engineering techniques to meet basic engineering and construction specifications, and may give technical direction to drafters, technicians and surveyors.

Key responsibilities

• Perform routine duties under general supervision, evaluating and applying standard engineering techniques, procedures and criteria.
• Carry out walk-downs and inspections of installed commodities to ensure conformance with specifications and design.
• Perform quantity surveys for tracking and reporting.
• Provide technical direction to drafters, technicians and surveyors.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent professional qualification.
• At least 8 years of experience in electrical engineering, including at least 3 years in site supervision or project management.
• Strong knowledge of UAE electrical codes, standards and construction regulations.
• Demonstrated expertise in electrical systems, power distribution and installation practices.
• Proven leadership and team management skills.

Required skills

• Proficiency in AutoCAD and electrical design software.
