Electrical Foreman – Construction Projects

About the role

The Electrical Foreman will lead and coordinate all electrical works on construction sites, ensuring installations meet approved drawings, project specifications, local authority regulations and safety standards.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise daily electrical activities, assign tasks to electricians, helpers and assistants, and monitor productivity.
• Prepare work plans, arrange manpower, materials, tools and equipment.
• Execute works according to approved shop and coordination drawings and project specifications.
• Monitor progress, quality standards and compliance with project timelines.
• Ensure installations comply with DEWA/ADDC regulations and other local authority requirements.
• Coordinate with subcontractors, consultants, clients, engineers and other trades (civil, HVAC, plumbing, fire fighting) to avoid clashes.
• Resolve site issues and support consultant/client inspections.
• Maintain daily and weekly progress reports and construction records.
• Enforce HSE regulations, conduct toolbox talks and ensure proper use of PPE.
• Control material usage, minimize waste and support engineers in evaluating workforce performance.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of experience supervising electrical works on construction projects.
• Strong knowledge of electrical installation practices, wiring systems, GI conduits and cable tray installations.
• Hands‑on experience with LV switchgear, cable terminations, earthing and lightning protection.
• Good understanding of DEWA, ADDC and other local authority regulations.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, wiring diagrams, load schedules and specifications.
• Proven leadership and team‑motivation skills.
