Electrical Foreman – Sewage Treatment Plant

About the role

The Electrical Foreman will supervise and coordinate all electrical maintenance and installation activities within a large Sewage Treatment Plant (STP). The role ensures safe execution, high equipment availability and strict compliance with operational, safety and quality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Allocate daily electrical maintenance tasks to technicians and monitor safe, efficient execution.
• Lead preventive, corrective and breakdown maintenance for motors, pumps, MCCs, substations, lighting systems and control panels.
• Open, assign and close work orders in the CMMS, confirming completion according to site procedures.
• Troubleshoot electrical faults independently and provide technical guidance during complex interventions.
• Conduct testing activities such as insulation resistance, continuity and functional tests.
• Coordinate with operations, instrumentation and mechanical teams to minimise plant downtime.

Required profile

• 5‑8 years of industrial electrical maintenance experience, including 2‑3 years in a supervisory or foreman role.
• Strong knowledge of safety practices (LOTO, PTW, risk assessments, PPE) and ability to enforce them.
• Physically fit for outdoor, confined‑space and shift‑based work.
• ITI Certificate or Diploma in Electrical Engineering.
• Experience in sewage treatment plant environments is preferred.
