Electrical Technician – Installation

About the role

We are seeking an Electrical Technician – Installation to join our project execution team in Dubai, UAE. The role involves installing and commissioning electrical equipment for airport baggage and cargo handling systems, ensuring compliance with safety standards and project specifications.

Key responsibilities

• Install and commission equipment according to supervisor instructions, adhering to SOPs and site safety rules.
• Read and interpret electrical drawings, perform panel wiring, field termination, cable containment, and install cable glands.
• Conduct electrical testing and provide commissioning support.
• Use appropriate PPE and follow strict safety procedures.
• Carry out periodic checks and maintenance inspections as per checklists.
• Assist other disciplines and teams to achieve project goals.
• Manage tools required for the shift, ensuring proper usage and maintenance.

Required profile

• Diploma in Electrical or ITI certification, or equivalent qualification.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in installing and commissioning electrical equipment in industrial automation or baggage/material handling projects.
• Hands‑on knowledge of operations, maintenance and technical troubleshooting of automated systems.
• Ability to adjust and modify equipment according to engineering changes.
• Good understanding of baggage/material handling system flow.
• Analytical mindset with strong problem‑diagnosis and root‑cause analysis skills.
• Awareness of quality and safety procedures.
• Effective communication in English and experience working in multicultural environments.
