Electrician – Hotel Maintenance

About the role

The Electrician is responsible for ensuring safe, reliable, and efficient operation of all electrical systems across the hotel, villas, and back‑of‑house areas. This role supports guest comfort, operational continuity, and asset integrity through proactive maintenance and rapid fault resolution.

Key responsibilities

• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on electrical systems, lighting, power distribution equipment, control panels, generators, UPS units and related infrastructure.
• Diagnose and repair electrical faults promptly to minimise operational disruptions.
• Inspect guest rooms, villas, public areas, restaurants, kitchens, recreation facilities and staff accommodations to identify and rectify deficiencies.
• Install, maintain and repair lighting fixtures, power outlets, switches, circuit breakers, distribution boards and wiring in accordance with standards.
• Assist with emergency power systems, generators, UPS, emergency lighting and safety devices to ensure readiness.
• Support electrical components of HVAC, pumps, kitchen equipment, laundry machinery, irrigation, swimming pools and villa facilities.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, inspections, repairs and spare‑part usage.
• Monitor equipment performance and energy consumption, identifying efficiency and sustainability opportunities.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, electrical codes and lockout/tagout procedures.
• Coordinate with engineering team members, contractors and external service providers during projects and installations.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical diploma or certificate in Electrical Engineering or related trade preferred.
• 1–2 years of relevant experience as an electrician, preferably in a luxury hotel, resort or large commercial facility.
• Good understanding of health and safety regulations, electrical codes and safe working practices.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings, schematics and technical manuals.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem‑solving skills with the ability to work independently.
