Electrician – Luxury Hotel (Downtown Dubai)

About the role

The St. Regis Downtown Dubai is seeking a dedicated electrician to join its engineering & facilities team. You will respond to guest repair requests, perform preventive maintenance, and ensure all hotel systems operate safely and efficiently.

Key responsibilities

• Attend to guest repair requests and resolve maintenance issues promptly.
• Perform preventive maintenance on tools, kitchen equipment, and mechanical‑room assets, including cleaning and lubrication.
• Inspect, troubleshoot, and repair electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and pneumatic/electronic systems.
• Carry out surface preparation, painting, minor drywall and wood‑trim repairs, and replace light bulbs and A/C filters.
• Use lockout/tagout procedures before any maintenance work and maintain accurate maintenance logs.
• Maintain inventory of parts and supplies, requisitioning as needed.

Required profile

• High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.
• Some experience in general maintenance, preferably in a hotel or similar hospitality environment.
• Valid driver’s licence.
• Ability to lift and move objects up to 50 lb and work on stairs, ladders, or service ramps.

Required skills

• Air‑conditioning and refrigeration knowledge.
• Electrical systems troubleshooting and repair.
• Plumbing, mechanical, and pneumatic/electronic controls.
• Carpentry, painting, drywall, and wood‑trim repair.
• Basic computer skills for HVAC scheduling and temperature adjustments.
• Lockout/Tagout safety procedures.
• Landscaping and sprinkler‑system maintenance.
