Electrician Technician

About the role

Hyatt Centric Jumeirah Dubai is looking for a skilled, service-oriented Technician (Electrical) to join its Engineering team. The role covers maintaining, inspecting, troubleshooting and repairing electrical systems and building equipment so that guests and colleagues have a safe, comfortable and seamless stay.

Key responsibilities

• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on electrical systems, lighting fixtures, power distribution panels, motors, pumps and associated equipment.
• Respond promptly to maintenance requests and resolve electrical issues efficiently to minimise operational disruption.
• Attend emergency maintenance situations such as power failures, fire alarms and other urgent engineering incidents.
• Maintain accurate shift logs and complete all required maintenance documentation and records.
• Support the installation, testing and commissioning of new equipment and systems when required.
• Keep work areas clean, safe and well organised, and follow health and safety, fire and life safety and engineering procedures.
• Work closely with colleagues across departments and help with other engineering duties as assigned by the Engineering Manager or Team Leader.

Required profile

• Diploma, trade certificate, ITI or equivalent qualification in Electrical Engineering or Electrical Technology.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in electrical maintenance, preferably in hospitality, facilities management or commercial buildings.
• Strong knowledge of electrical installations, troubleshooting, maintenance practices and safety standards.
• Ability to read electrical drawings and technical manuals.
• Familiarity with hotel engineering systems and Building Management Systems (BMS) is an advantage.
• Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to work independently and in a team in a fast-paced environment.
