Electro Neurodiagnostic Technologist

About the role

The Electro Neurodiagnostic Technologist will perform a variety of neurodiagnostic examinations to assist physicians in diagnosing and treating neurological disorders at a leading healthcare facility in Abu Dhabi.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct routine and complex neurodiagnostic tests, including EEG, IOM, EMG, and Evoked Potentials.
• Perform Epilepsy Monitoring in the laboratory, at the bedside, or in intensive care units.
• Prepare patients for procedures, explain the process and ensure comfort.
• Operate, calibrate and maintain neurodiagnostic equipment.
• Analyze and interpret test results, providing preliminary reports to physicians.
• Maintain accurate patient records and documentation.
• Follow safety protocols and infection‑control procedures.
• Collaborate with medical staff to deliver high‑quality patient care.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Applied Sciences majoring in Neurophysiology, Biophysics/Physiology or equivalent (minimum three‑year program) OR an Associate degree from an accredited Neurophysiology Technologist program.
• Registration with a recognized professional body such as the American Board of Registration of Electroencephalographic Technologists, the American Board of Registration of Evoked Potential Technologists, the American Association of Polysomnographic Technologists, the UK Registration Council for Clinical Neurophysiology, the Clinical Physiologist Registration Board of New Zealand, or South African Clinical Technologist registration.
