Electroneurodiagnostic Technologist

About the role

The Electroneurodiagnostic Technologist will independently perform a full range of neurodiagnostic studies, supporting physicians in the interpretation of EEG, EMG, and evoked potential recordings. The role requires direct patient interaction, precise electrode placement, and adherence to laboratory standards.

Key responsibilities

• Explain test procedures to patients and obtain cooperation for complete examinations.
• Apply electrodes using the International 10‑20 System and ensure impedance meets standards.
• Conduct routine, sleep, bedside, and long‑term video EEG recordings, including epilepsy monitoring.
• Perform visual, brainstem, and somatosensory evoked potentials with high‑quality results.
• Execute nerve conduction studies and assist physicians during EMG procedures.
• Troubleshoot equipment, adjust settings, and maintain infection‑control cleaning protocols.
• Identify and manage artifacts, annotate findings, and prepare comprehensive technical reports.
• Maintain inventory, rotate stock, and participate in technical meetings.

Required profile

• Associate degree (minimum 2‑year) in Applied Sciences, Neurophysiology, Biophysics/Physiology, or equivalent.
• Willingness to sit for the ABRET exam after completing an internship.
