Elementary Classroom Teacher – Abu Dhabi

About the role

ADNOC Schools is seeking high‑performing elementary classroom teachers to join the Sas Al Nakhl Campus in Abu Dhabi starting January 2027. The role involves delivering the Massachusetts State Curriculum to a diverse student body while upholding the school’s values and ethos.

Key responsibilities

• Create a climate for learning that encourages outstanding practice and high levels of interest.
• Identify clear teaching and learning objectives and set challenging tasks for all students.
• Differentiate instruction to meet the needs of SEN, very able, and English‑as‑an‑additional‑language learners.
• Use assessment for learning and performance data to inform planning and deliver differentiated lessons.
• Maintain discipline in line with the school’s Behaviour for Learning Policy and promote punctuality and quality of work.
• Employ a variety of teaching strategies, effective questioning, and appropriate learning resources, including ICT tools.
• Mark student work regularly, set progress targets, and provide constructive feedback.
• Prepare informative reports for parents and contribute to curriculum development and CPD activities.

Required profile

• Fully qualified teacher with a Bachelor’s in Education or related degree plus PGCE or equivalent.
• Minimum of two years’ teaching experience in the relevant field.
• Commitment to an extensive enrichment programme and recent involvement in extra‑curricular activities.
• Experience working with students for whom English is an additional language.
• Respect for all members of the school community and a positive, solution‑focused attitude.
• Clean enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) or police check.
