Elementary Inclusion Teacher (Start Aug 2026)

About the role

We are seeking a passionate Elementary Inclusion Teacher to join GEMS American Academy in Abu Dhabi from August 2026. The role involves delivering the American curriculum and IB continuum to a diverse group of primary learners, fostering an inclusive and inquiry‑based learning environment.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging, curriculum‑aligned lessons using inquiry‑based and technology‑enhanced approaches.
• Differentiate instruction to support English Language Learners, gifted and talented students, and those with special educational needs.
• Maintain a positive, respectful classroom culture that promotes collaboration, curiosity and student well‑being.
• Assess student progress through authentic methods and provide timely, constructive feedback.
• Collaborate with colleagues on unit planning and curriculum development.
• Participate in co‑curricular and community programmes to support holistic learning.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Education or a related subject with a recognised teaching qualification (PGCE/PGDE/state licence or equivalent) for primary/inclusion teaching.
• Proven experience teaching elementary inclusion, preferably within an American or IB curriculum.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a collaborative, reflective approach.
• Commitment to ongoing professional development and contributing to an inclusive school culture.
