Elementary Music Teacher

About the role

The Elementary Music Teacher will join our Abu Dhabi school to deliver engaging, age‑appropriate music lessons to primary‑level students. This full‑time, on‑site position focuses on fostering creativity, confidence and a love of music through hands‑on instruction and performance opportunities.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, prepare and deliver daily music lessons aligned with curriculum standards.
• Teach a variety of musical concepts, including rhythm, melody, notation and basic instrument skills.
• Organise practice activities, rehearsals and school performances or concerts.
• Assess student progress, provide feedback and maintain records of achievement.
• Maintain a positive, inclusive classroom environment and manage behaviour effectively.
• Collaborate with fellow teachers and support school events related to music.
• Communicate regularly with families and school leadership about student learning and conduct.

Required profile

• Strong foundation in music theory and general music knowledge suitable for elementary learners.
• Demonstrated music performance experience with the ability to model skills.
• Background in music education, including designing structured, engaging lessons.
• Proficiency in piano to use as an instructional and accompaniment tool.
• Bachelor’s degree in Music Education, Music or a related field; teaching licence or certification preferred.
• Experience teaching elementary‑age students with effective classroom‑management skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities, committed to inclusive, student‑centered learning.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a multicultural environment and adapt to local educational policies.
