ELV Estimator

About the role

Careers International is looking for an experienced and detail-oriented ELV Estimator to join its team in the IT solutions sector in Dubai. The role covers estimating the costs and resources needed for ELV systems such as structured cabling, CCTV, access control, fire alarm, PA systems and networking in IT infrastructure projects.

Key responsibilities

• Analyse project specifications, architectural and electrical drawings and IT infrastructure requirements for ELV systems.
• Prepare detailed cost estimates covering materials, labour and equipment, aligned with IT solutions and infrastructure projects.
• Carry out site surveys to gather accurate data and identify on-site installation challenges.
• Obtain and evaluate quotations from suppliers, manufacturers and subcontractors.
• Perform quantity take-offs from drawings to determine required materials and resources.
• Prepare tenders, quotations and proposals with clear technical specifications and accurate pricing.
• Work with design, project management and engineering teams so that proposed systems meet client specifications and industry standards.
• Identify estimation risks and recommend mitigation measures, and track project budgets and costs throughout the project lifecycle.
• Ensure compliance with local regulations, safety standards and best practices, and keep records of estimations, technical documents and tender correspondence.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, IT Infrastructure or a related field.
• At least 3-5 years of experience estimating ELV systems for IT solutions, network infrastructure or related sectors.
• Strong knowledge of IT solutions and ELV systems such as CCTV, fire alarm, access control, structured cabling and networking.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills and strong organisational and time-management skills.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and AutoCAD.
• Use of other estimation or project management software.
• High accuracy in cost estimation and attention to detail.
