Endoscopy Technician

About the role

The Endoscopy Technician will support diagnostic and therapeutic endoscopic procedures in a hospital setting, ensuring patient safety and optimal workflow. The role involves preparing equipment, assisting physicians, and maintaining strict infection-control standards.

Key responsibilities

• Schedule and coordinate emergency and routine endoscopy procedures.
• Prepare endoscopes, accessories, ERBE and ETD machines, and water‑irrigation systems for each case.
• Assist physicians during diagnostic procedures (e.g., gastroduodenoscopy, colonoscopy, bronchoscopy) and therapeutic interventions (e.g., variceal banding, polypectomy, balloon dilatation).
• Maintain accurate records of disinfection, culture results, and patient data using EndoBase software.
• Ensure proper storage, cleaning, and maintenance of endoscopic equipment and accessories.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Endoscopy Technology or related field.
• Minimum two years of experience as an Endoscopy Technician in a hospital environment.

Required skills

• Endoscope preparation and sterilisation.
• Operation of ERBE and ETD endoscopic machines.
• Proficiency with EndoBase software for patient data management.
• Knowledge of infection‑control and OSH procedures.
• Ability to position patients and handle therapeutic devices such as argon plasma coagulation and hemoclips.
