Engineer I

About the role

The Engineer I provides on‑site maintenance and repair services for guest rooms, public areas, and back‑of‑house facilities. The role ensures that all equipment and building systems operate safely and efficiently, supporting a high level of guest satisfaction.

Key responsibilities

• Respond to guest repair requests and communicate resolutions.
• Perform preventive maintenance on tools, kitchen equipment, and mechanical‑room assets.
• Inspect, troubleshoot, and repair air‑conditioning, refrigeration, electrical, mechanical, plumbing, and pneumatic/electronic systems.
• Carry out minor carpentry, painting, drywall, and wood‑trim repairs.
• Replace light bulbs, A/C filters, electrical switches, outlets, and other guest‑room items.
• Program televisions, manage housekeeping and engineering inventory, and input HVAC schedules.
• Apply Lockout/Tagout procedures before any maintenance work.
• Maintain landscaping, sprinkler systems, and exterior repairs.
• Document daily activities, report safety hazards, and follow all company safety policies.

Required profile

• Basic knowledge of air‑conditioning, refrigeration, electrical, mechanical, plumbing, and pneumatic/electronic controls.
• Familiarity with carpentry, kitchen equipment, vehicle maintenance, and energy‑conservation practices.
• Ability to perform surface preparation, painting, drywall, and wood‑trim repairs.
• Understanding of Lockout/Tagout safety systems.
• Good computer skills for HVAC scheduling and temperature adjustments.
