Engineer I – Projects

About the role

Petrofac is seeking an Engineer I – Projects to join its Sharjah team. The role focuses on contract review, deliverable coordination and supplier management for energy projects.

Key responsibilities

• Review contracts for scope, obligations, schedules and potential concerns; prepare kick‑off agendas.
• Finalize and submit deliverable lists to clients after cross‑discipline discussion.
• Coordinate with engineering to issue material requisitions, technical bid evaluations, purchase requisitions, drawings, procedures and calculations.
• Monitor weekly progress of deliverables, take corrective actions on slippages, and interface with procurement to track purchasing activities.
• Organise weekly client review meetings and manage post‑award vendor kick‑off sessions.
• Facilitate communication between Petrofac, other companies and the client, ensuring document transfer and query resolution.
• Monitor vendor performance, resolve operational issues, and implement remedial actions for delays.
• Maintain professional relationships with suppliers and participate in supplier performance appraisals.
• Address site queries related to material receipt, non‑conformance reports and drawing issues.

Required profile

• Engineering background with interest in project coordination.
• Ability to work with multiple disciplines and stakeholders.
• Strong organisational and communication skills.
