Engineer II, Electronic Engineering

About the role

EDGE Group is looking for an experienced Electronic Engineer II (Grade 8) to support the development of advanced defence and safety‑critical systems. The role covers design, verification, qualification and lifecycle support of analog, RF, digital, mixed‑signal and power electronic products.

Key responsibilities

• Design and develop analog, RF, digital, mixed‑signal and power electronic systems to meet performance, reliability and safety requirements.
• Create detailed schematics, PCB layouts and electrical harnesses using Altium Designer and other ECAD tools.
• Build, integrate, debug and test prototype hardware, and conduct laboratory testing and analysis.
• Maintain engineering documentation, including requirements, design specifications, ICDs and test procedures.
• Support configuration management, component qualification, BOM maintenance and compliance with military and IPC standards.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Electronic Engineering or equivalent.
• Minimum 4 years of experience in electrical/electronic design, schematic and PCB design, and product development in defence or other safety‑critical environments.

Required skills

• Altium Designer and other ECAD tools.
• Schematic design, PCB layout and electrical harness design.
• Laboratory testing, troubleshooting and corrective action implementation.
• Component selection, qualification and management of BOMs.
• Knowledge of military standards (MIL‑STD) and IPC standards, DFM and DFT principles.
