Engineer II – Projects Electrical (Junior Project Engineer)

About the role

Petrofac is seeking a Junior Project Engineer – Electrical (Engineer II – Projects Electrical) to support the Project/Delivery team on‑site. The role coordinates electrical vendor activities, inspections, testing and client interfaces while developing a solid understanding of the project’s electrical equipment and systems.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate and facilitate electrical vendor/OEM representative visits, mobilization, site access, permits and work areas.
• Liaise with client electrical representatives to arrange inspections, witness testing and technical coordination meetings.
• Support vendors during inspections, testing, troubleshooting, commissioning and other site activities.
• Maintain schedules and trackers for vendor visits, inspections, testing activities and outstanding actions.
• Monitor equipment readiness and ensure compliance with project specifications, quality and HSE standards.
• Provide regular progress updates to the Project/Delivery Manager and escalate schedule or technical issues.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
• 2–5 years of relevant experience, preferably in EPC, oil & gas or industrial projects.
• Basic understanding of electrical systems, equipment, testing and commissioning.
• Site experience preferred; exposure to OEM/vendor coordination an advantage.
• Strong written and spoken English communication skills.
