About the role
EDGE is seeking an Engineer II specialized in Safety‑Integrity‑Level (SIL) electrical design to develop low‑voltage and medium‑voltage power distribution systems for automotive and industrial applications. The role combines hands‑on prototype development with system‑level engineering to deliver compliant, high‑performance electrical solutions.
Key responsibilities
- Design DC and AC switchgear for LV and MV systems.
- Create schematic and wiring diagrams using EPLAN, WSCAD, Creo or equivalent CAD tools.
- Translate customer requirements into detailed technical specifications.
- Develop, validate, and test electrical systems in line with project and safety standards.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to ensure system integration and compliance.
- Participate in prototyping, testing, and troubleshooting activities.
Required profile
- Hands‑on, practical mindset with ability to support prototype development.
- Proven ability to work under pressure in fast‑paced environments.
- Experience in the defence industry is a strong advantage.
Required skills
- DC and AC switchgear design for LV/MV.
- Electrical CAD tools: EPLAN, WSCAD, Creo.
- Knowledge of electrical power distribution systems.
- Familiarity with automotive instrumentation (pressure, temperature, flow, level sensors).
- Industrial automation: CLP programming, servo drives, actuators.
- International electrical standards: IEC 60617, IEC 61082, ANSI Y32.2, IEEE 315.
