Engineering Associate – AC (HVAC Technician)

About the role

As an HVAC Technician, you will be responsible for maintaining, repairing, and monitoring the hotel’s heating, ventilation, air‑conditioning (HVAC) and related mechanical systems. You will ensure safety, efficiency and guest comfort while supporting the Engineering department’s preventive maintenance programs.

Key responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance, inspections and repairs on HVAC and mechanical equipment to ensure optimal performance.
• Respond promptly to guest requests, maintenance concerns and engineering work orders through designated communication systems.
• Troubleshoot equipment issues and implement effective solutions to minimize downtime.
• Monitor system readings, record operational data and maintain accurate maintenance logs.
• Apply lockout/tagout procedures and adhere to hotel safety standards.
• Support the Engineering team through effective communication, teamwork and compliance with Rosewood operational standards.

Required profile

• Experience maintaining HVAC, mechanical or building systems in a hotel, resort or commercial environment.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem‑solving abilities with a proactive maintenance approach.
• Knowledge of preventive maintenance programs, building systems and workplace safety practices.
• Organized, reliable and able to manage multiple priorities while maintaining attention to detail.
• Comfortable using maintenance management systems and mobile communication devices.
• Fluent English and enjoys collaborative teamwork.
