Engineering Manager – Joinery

About the role

We are seeking an Engineering Manager to lead our joinery engineering team for a top fit‑out contractor in the UAE. The role involves translating architectural intent into manufacturable solutions and ensuring seamless project execution across residential, hospitality and commercial sectors.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the engineering team in producing accurate shop drawings, cutting lists and technical documentation for joinery production.
• Translate architectural and design intent into practical, manufacturable solutions, ensuring feasibility and efficiency.
• Review and approve technical drawings, aligning them with project specifications, material standards and factory capabilities.
• Collaborate with design, production, procurement and installation teams to ensure seamless project execution and technical coordination.
• Provide technical support during manufacturing and installation phases, resolving design or site‑related issues promptly.
• Develop and implement engineering standards, processes and CAD protocols to improve consistency and reduce errors.
• Drive process improvements to enhance efficiency, reduce lead times and optimise material usage.
• Ensure compliance with relevant codes, industry standards and client requirements in all engineering outputs.
• Oversee selection of materials and hardware, ensuring quality, durability and suitability for manufacturing and installation.

Required profile

• Degree in a relevant engineering discipline or equivalent demonstrated experience.
• 10+ years of experience in joinery engineering or related construction engineering roles.
• Technical expertise in joinery engineering and experience with lean manufacturing or continuous improvement methodologies.
