Engineering Mason

About the role

Accor is seeking a skilled Engineering Mason to join its construction team in Abu Dhabi. The role involves delivering high‑quality masonry work on large‑scale projects while upholding safety and sustainability standards.

Key responsibilities

• Interpret blueprints, drawings and specifications to construct masonry structures.
• Select, cut and shape bricks, concrete blocks and natural stone.
• Mix and apply mortar, grout and other bonding materials.
• Ensure alignment, level and plumb of all masonry work.
• Coordinate with other trades to meet project timelines.
• Maintain a clean, organized and safe work environment.
• Troubleshoot on‑site masonry issues and provide solutions.
• Mentor junior masons and apprentices.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent; vocational masonry training preferred.
• 3‑5 years of masonry experience on large construction projects.
• Strong knowledge of local Abu Dhabi building codes and sustainable construction practices.
• Physical strength and stamina for demanding tasks.
• OSHA safety certification preferred.
