Engineering Practical Trainer / Assessor (B2)

About the role

Emirates Engineering is seeking an Engineering Practical Trainer / Assessor (B2) to deliver and assess hands‑on aircraft maintenance training within its state‑of‑the‑art Maintenance Centre. The role supports the National Engineering Aircraft Maintenance Engineering Licence (AMEL) programme and type‑training for the Emirates fleet.

Key responsibilities

• Organise aircraft and resources for Structured Practical Training in coordination with the Aircraft Scheduling, Line Maintenance and Base Maintenance departments.
• Prepare and raise all required documentation (NRI, logbook entries) in line with the Engineering Procedure Manual.
• Allocate work and liaise with hangar shift managers to ensure training tasks are completed as recorded in practical training logbooks.
• Verify that Structured Practical Training, On‑Job Training and AMEL logbooks are fully completed and compliant before final certification.
• Monitor trainee performance, conduct regular assessments, sign off the Basic Aircraft Maintenance Engineer’s Logbook and report strengths and weaknesses to the Engineering Training Manager.
• Maintain up‑to‑date knowledge of company technical publications and regulatory requirements.

Required profile

• Experience in aircraft maintenance training or practical instruction.
• Familiarity with GCAA CAR 147, CAR 66 and EASA training standards.
• Ability to coordinate with multiple maintenance departments and manage training documentation.
• Strong attention to detail and capability to assess technical performance.
