Enterprise Services AI Agent Engineer Graduate (2027 start)

About the role

Join ByteDance's Enterprise Services team to build AI‑powered backend services for the corporate service system. As a graduate AI Agent Engineer you will work on the Agent runtime, integrate enterprise tools and embed AI capabilities, collaborating with product, design and cross‑regional engineering teams.

Key responsibilities

• Build backend services and the Agent runtime with high code quality, readability and maintainability.
• Continuously improve system performance and stability through profiling and tuning.
• Integrate internal enterprise systems into Agents via Tools, MCP, CLI and A2A.
• Participate in code reviews and follow team coding standards and architectural conventions.
• Write clear, AI‑friendly technical documentation and contribute to the team knowledge base.
• Explore embedding AI capabilities into backend services and contribute to AI‑driven feature development, evaluation and validation.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science, AI or a related field.
• Solid foundation in data structures, algorithms and computer systems with strong coding habits.
• Proficiency in one or more languages: Golang, Java or Python.
• Hands‑on experience with distributed systems and microservice architecture.
• Understanding of AI Agent architectural patterns such as reasoning, memory management and multi‑Agent collaboration.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills and genuine interest in the Agent engineering ecosystem.
