Environmental Specialist

About the role

The Environmental Specialist will design, implement and continuously improve environmental management, sustainability and compliance programmes for LevelUP HCS in Abu Dhabi. The role ensures adherence to local regulations, ISO 14001 standards and the company’s ESG commitments.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, implement and maintain ISO 14001‑aligned environmental management systems.
• Monitor compliance with Environmental Agency Abu Dhabi (EAD), MOCCAE and other regulatory requirements.
• Maintain registers of environmental aspects, impacts, objectives, targets and performance indicators.
• Lead audits, inspections and corrective‑action programmes.
• Track and report KPIs on energy, water, waste, emissions and resource efficiency.
• Prepare GHG inventories, carbon‑footprint calculations and emissions‑reduction initiatives.
• Support environmental impact assessments, risk assessments and due‑diligence activities.
• Drive sustainability, ESG and CSR initiatives and deliver training for staff and contractors.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Engineering, Environmental Science, Sustainability, Chemical Engineering, HSE or a related field.
• Minimum six years of experience in environmental management, compliance, sustainability or HSE.
• Proven ability to work with regulatory bodies and manage complex environmental programmes.
