Equipment Engineer – Oil & Gas EPC Projects

About the role

Penta Global Engineering and Construction is looking for an experienced Equipment Engineer to join its Abu Dhabi team working on oil & gas EPC projects. The role involves overseeing equipment engineering activities from specification review through procurement, installation and commissioning.

Key responsibilities

• Review equipment specifications, datasheets and engineering deliverables.
• Coordinate with vendors, consultants and multidisciplinary engineering teams.
• Monitor equipment procurement, inspection, testing and delivery.
• Review technical documents, drawings and vendor documentation for compliance.
• Support equipment installation, commissioning and troubleshooting.
• Collaborate with construction, QA/QC and HSE teams to ensure smooth project execution.
• Identify technical issues and provide effective engineering solutions.
• Maintain project documentation and ensure timely completion of assigned activities.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.
• 8–12 years of experience in oil & gas, petrochemical, refinery or EPC projects.
• Strong knowledge of static and rotating equipment.
• Experience in equipment engineering, procurement, inspection and installation.
• Familiarity with international engineering codes and industry standards.
• Excellent coordination, communication and problem‑solving abilities.
• Prior experience on ADNOC projects is an advantage.
