About the role

The Investment Advisory function is a core pillar of Global Private Banking, delivering tailored investment solutions to select private banking and key client groups. This senior position combines management of advisory teams in Dubai and Abu Dhabi with direct client-facing responsibilities, requiring deep market expertise and strong leadership.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and develop the Investment Advisory teams in Dubai and Abu Dhabi, attracting and retaining top talent.
• Act as a player‑coach, managing a portfolio of key clients while guiding the team in building portfolios aligned with the bank’s house view and client risk profiles.
• Deliver complex cross‑asset active advisory services, generate investment ideas, and ensure robust portfolio execution and risk monitoring.
• Partner with coverage teams to acquire and retain new advisory mandates, pitch services, and own advisory KPIs for AUM and revenue.
• Maintain up‑to‑date investment proposals, portfolio reviews, and ensure compliance with local regulations and bank policies.

Required profile

• Minimum 10 + years of experience in investment advisory, private banking or a similar environment.
• Proven track record in managing teams and delivering advisory services to high‑net‑worth clients.
• Strong interpersonal and people‑management skills, with the ability to work under tight deadlines.
• Relevant academic background – Bachelor’s in Business or Finance; Master’s or industry qualification (CPA/CFA) is an advantage.

Required skills

• Excellent knowledge of financial markets, equity and fixed‑income analysis, and asset allocation.
• Expertise in portfolio construction, risk management, and investment product sourcing.
• Solid analytical and communication abilities, both verbal and written.
