Executive Director, Investment Solutions

About the role

The Investment Solutions business is a core component of First Abu Dhabi Bank's Elite and Private Banking offering. The Executive Director will lead the delivery of comprehensive investment solutions to private banking and key client groups, overseeing analysis, portfolio construction, and ongoing management.

Key responsibilities

• Enhance the investment solutions value proposition and drive business development across the UAE and international markets.
• Contribute to financial targets by growing advisory client numbers, assets under management, revenues, fees and return on assets.
• Provide end‑to‑end investment services, including research, security selection, portfolio construction, monitoring and rebalancing.
• Promote investment opportunities across all asset classes in line with FAB’s outlook and source new ideas from market trends and client feedback.
• Ensure full compliance with internal policies, FAB regulations and external regulatory frameworks.
• Lead projects to improve advisory infrastructure, operational workflow and service levels.
• Coordinate investment advisory training and act as delegate for the Global Head of Products & Services and the Head of Investment Advisory.

Required profile

• Minimum 15 years of experience in investment advisory or a similar environment.
• Strong technical background in delivering investment propositions, research and recommendations.
• Deep knowledge of global markets, macro‑ and micro‑trends, and portfolio construction, implementation and management.
• Ability to work independently under tight deadlines, manage multiple tasks with minimal guidance.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal skills and meticulous attention to detail.
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance or a related field; fluency in English and Arabic is highly valued.
