About the role
This position will assist with leading and managing Global Markets’ Structured Trading & Solutions activities. You will oversee structuring and execution of transactions, conduct risk and investment return analysis, and support junior traders to maximise profitability while minimising risk and ensuring compliance with internal policies and external regulators.
Key responsibilities
- Deliver the business strategy and manage customer flow to exceed budget targets.
- Expand product offerings, improve procedures, and mentor junior staff to enhance the desk and Global Markets.
- Develop new products and underlying collateral using a holistic understanding of capital, XVAs and other risk metrics.
- Provide pricing support, work with sales to grow the client franchise, and accompany sales on customer visits.
- Collaborate with quant teams to refine pricing, valuation curves and booking models.
- Ensure pricing constructs and modelling are aligned with market best practice.
- Produce market commentaries and trade recommendations as needed.
- Work with risk teams to adapt mandates according to opportunities and FAB’s risk appetite.
- Improve reporting reliability and efficiency.
- Meet financial and business objectives set by the Head and comply with all risk and counter‑party limits.
- Identify new product and regional opportunities and implement risk mitigation strategies.
- Maintain swift, consistent pricing for internal and external customers.
- Expand counter‑party awareness of capabilities to attract new flows and limits.
- Cultivate strong relationships with counterparties, brokers and other market participants.
Required profile
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Commerce or a related discipline.
- Minimum 10 years of relevant market experience in similar senior positions.
- Strong structuring and trading experience in financing illiquid assets such as loans, private debt/equity, CLOs and securitisation.
- Proven market‑making skills and robust risk‑management techniques.
- Knowledge of relevant regulations, jurisdictions and compliance requirements.
- Track record of managing risk effectively and delivering consistent financial performance.
- Strong Microsoft Office skills, including VBA/Macro development.
- Excellent analytical, quantitative and interpersonal abilities.
