Executive - Workplace Technology (IT Support)

About the role

The IT Support Engineer delivers reliable IT support across retail and F&B store locations and the Head Office, with a focus on new store IT deployments, ongoing store system support, store closure asset management and end-user onboarding. The role keeps store technology fully functional and correctly configured from opening to closing, and ensures every new employee receives a complete, operational IT setup.

Key responsibilities

• Diagnose and resolve POS, billing software and network issues at stores, including application errors, WAN/LAN faults, Wi-Fi drops and VPN instability
• Troubleshoot biometric attendance and access control machines, and investigate IT-related customer complaints
• Provide remote support and on-site visits for hardware replacement, reconfiguration or escalated issues, and manage support tickets within SLA
• Coordinate with the project and brand team on new store openings, install and configure POS terminals, printers, scanners, cabling, routers, switches, wireless APs, VLANs, firewalls, VPN tunnels, billing software and mPOS devices, and run a pre-opening IT readiness check
• Manage IT asset collection at store closures: de-install, catalogue, clean, pack and archive equipment, revoke credentials, terminate network access, wipe data and archive configurations
• Support user hardware and software, including OS and Microsoft 365 issues, Active Directory account changes and device warranty repairs
• Onboard new employees: image devices, install software, register them in the biometric system, train them and issue assets

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, engineering or a related technical discipline
• Relevant professional certifications in infrastructure technologies are preferred

• Hands-on network infrastructure, POS systems, biometric equipment, mobile POS and end-user devices
• Microsoft 365, Active Directory, VLANs, VPN and firewall configuration
