Experienced Associate – Real Estate Audit

About the role

Deloitte is seeking a detail‑oriented Experienced Associate to join its Real Estate Audit team in Dubai. The role involves conducting comprehensive audits of real‑estate development companies, ensuring compliance with accounting standards, regulatory requirements, and internal controls.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and execute audits of real‑estate developers, including financial statement audits, internal control assessments and compliance reviews.
• Evaluate the accuracy and completeness of financial records related to land acquisition, construction costs, revenue recognition and asset valuation.
• Assess accounting policies applied to real‑estate projects, such as cost capitalisation, impairment testing and fair‑value measurement.
• Review contracts, joint ventures, lease agreements and other legal documents to identify audit risks and ensure compliance.
• Identify and evaluate risks of material misstatement, including fraud risks, and design audit procedures to address them.
• Analyse project budgets, cost tracking and cash‑flow management to verify financial integrity.

Required profile

• Detail‑oriented professional with experience auditing real‑estate development companies.
• Strong technical audit skills and in‑depth knowledge of the real‑estate development industry.
