External Communications Manager

About the role

Ultimate HR Solutions is hiring a Manager - External Communications for a prestigious, well-established organization in the UAE. The role manages external communications, strengthens corporate reputation, builds media relationships and develops engaging content that supports the organization's business objectives and public image. It is based in Dubai and involves regular interaction with senior leadership, media representatives and external agencies.

Key responsibilities

• Support the development and implementation of external communications strategies aligned with business goals.
• Build and maintain relationships with journalists, editors and media outlets across the UAE, GCC and relevant international markets.
• Identify opportunities to highlight business achievements, investments, partnerships and strategic initiatives.
• Write and edit press releases, media statements, executive briefs, articles, Q&As and other communication materials.
• Translate complex business and financial information into clear, engaging content for external audiences.
• Support senior leadership communications, interviews and thought leadership activities.
• Manage media enquiries and coordinate timely, accurate responses.
• Support corporate reputation management, issue monitoring and crisis communications.
• Plan and coordinate media campaigns, corporate announcements and industry events.
• Work closely with internal teams, senior stakeholders and external communications agencies.
• Monitor media coverage and industry trends, prepare reports and recommend improvements.
• Ensure consistent messaging, accuracy and high editorial standards across all communications.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Communications, Journalism, Public Relations, Marketing or a related field.
• 6-8 years of relevant experience in external communications, corporate communications, public relations or journalism.
• Experience in a large organization or communications agency is preferred.
• Good knowledge of the UAE and regional media landscape.
• Experience managing corporate announcements, communications campaigns and multiple projects.
• Experience in corporate reputation and crisis communications is an advantage.
• Exposure to financial communications and work across GCC or international markets is preferred.
