Facade Engineer

About the role

The Facade Engineer will be responsible for ensuring the quality and compliance of façade, curtain wall, glazing and cladding works on construction projects. This role involves close coordination with contractors, consultants and project teams to deliver high‑standard installations.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct inspections of façade, curtain wall, glazing, cladding and related installation works.
• Verify compliance with approved drawings, specifications, ITPs, method statements and project requirements.
• Review and process WIR/IR, MIR and QA/QC documentation.
• Inspect delivered façade materials against approved submittals.
• Monitor installation quality, alignment, fixing, sealing, waterproofing and finishing.
• Witness required façade testing and inspections.
• Identify non‑conforming works, raise NCRs and follow up corrective actions.
• Coordinate quality matters with contractors, consultants, façade specialists and project teams.
• Maintain inspection records, test reports, checklists and other quality documentation.
• Participate in snagging, de‑snagging, final inspections and handover activities.

Required profile

• Experience in façade, curtain wall or cladding inspection and QA/QC processes.
• Ability to review technical documentation and ensure compliance with project specifications.
• Strong coordination skills with multiple stakeholders on construction sites.
• Attention to detail in maintaining accurate quality records and reports.
