Facilities and Services Officer

About the role

The Facilities and Services Officer is responsible for delivering high‑quality facilities and general services across the school. This role ensures a strong service culture, efficient resource deployment, and compliance with health, safety, and Aldar Education policies.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee all repairs, maintenance, and external contractor appointments in line with Aldar Education procurement guidelines.
• Maintain security, cleanliness, and safety of the school site, buildings, and grounds through daily checks.
• Implement policies, systems, and student safeguarding measures in coordination with headquarters.
• Plan and resource school events, catering, security, cleaning, transport, waste disposal, and recycling.
• Support space utilisation, building re‑organisation, and monitoring of Building Management System (BMS) alerts.
• Manage staff accommodation according to Aldar Education housing policy and assist with procurement.
• Act as the designated Incident Commander, available outside normal hours for critical incidents.

Required profile

• Proven experience in facilities and services management within an educational setting.
• Strong knowledge of health & safety standards and school‑level procurement processes.
• Ability to coordinate external service providers and lead internal support teams.
• Willingness to be on‑call for incident response and to work outside regular school hours when required.

Required skills

• Building Management System (BMS) monitoring and alert handling.
