Facilities Engineer

About the role

The Facilities Engineer will supervise, coordinate and control all maintenance, refurbishment, construction and commissioning activities for equipment, buildings and systems, ensuring high reliability and availability of facilities.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise, coordinate and control maintenance, refurbishment, construction and commissioning activities for equipment, buildings and systems.
• Develop and implement preventive maintenance and facility inspection programmes to minimise costs and improve reliability.
• Manage work orders, plan routine and preventive maintenance, and oversee commissioning of new projects.
• Prepare regular reports on work progress, equipment failures and incidents, ensuring compliance with ISO and QHSE standards.
• Lead subcontractors and ensure the team has appropriate PPE, tools and training.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in an engineering discipline (MMUP certification preferred).
• Minimum 5 years of hands‑on experience in operations and maintenance within facilities management, preferably in the UAE or Gulf region.
• Strong organisational, supervisory and leadership abilities.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
• Working knowledge of AutoCAD.
• Experience using facilities‑management software tools.
