Facilities Management Director

About the role

The Facilities Management Director leads the delivery of integrated facilities management services across a large‑scale, complex operational environment. The role is accountable for hard and soft FM services, asset and contract management, and project delivery through external service providers.

Key responsibilities

• Lead facilities management teams and contracted service providers, setting operational strategies, budgets and performance targets.
• Oversee hard services including MEP, HVAC and critical infrastructure maintenance, managing system shutdowns, outages and risk mitigation.
• Manage soft services such as cleaning and operational support, ensuring contractor compliance with safety, quality and service level standards.
• Drive asset management initiatives aligned with ISO 55000, supervise contract and supplier performance, and ensure optimal asset lifecycle management.
• Coordinate helpdesk and service management systems, monitor KPIs, asset availability and service performance, and provide regular reports to stakeholders.
• Promote compliance with company policies, HS&E standards and regulatory requirements while fostering strong stakeholder relationships.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Facilities Management, Property Management, Operations Management, Asset Management or Business Management.
• Minimum 10 years of facilities management experience in large, complex, high‑demand environments.
• Proven experience managing large‑scale FM operations, contractor delivery and regulated, operationally critical settings.
• Knowledge of ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001 and ISO 55001 standards.
