Facilities Technician

About the role

The Luxury Collection is seeking a proactive Facilities Technician to respond to guest repair requests and ensure the smooth operation of all hotel equipment and facilities. You will work closely with guests and internal teams to deliver timely maintenance solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Attend to guest repair requests and communicate resolutions.
• Perform preventive maintenance on tools, kitchen equipment, and mechanical room assets.
• Visually inspect equipment, carry necessary tools, and operate shut‑off valves.
• Maintain inventory, requisition parts, and document daily activities for shift handovers.
• Execute surface preparation, painting, minor drywall and wood‑trim repairs, and thorough clean‑up.
• Test, troubleshoot, and repair electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and other guestroom items.
• Program televisions, manage housekeeping‑related inventory, and perform landscaping and sprinkler repairs.
• Apply Lockout/Tagout procedures before any maintenance work.
• Follow all safety, security, and company policies.

Required profile

• Basic knowledge or ability to acquire knowledge in air‑conditioning, refrigeration, electrical, mechanical, plumbing, pneumatic/electronic systems, carpentry, and general building maintenance.
• Ability to work independently, maintain a professional appearance, and protect company assets.
• Strong communication skills to interact with guests and shift teams.
