Faculty Position – Computer Information Science (Data Science)

About the role

Higher Colleges of Technology is seeking a full‑time faculty member for its Computer Information Science (Data Science) program. The role involves delivering instruction to second‑language learners, participating in academic and community events, and contributing to research aligned with national innovation priorities.

Key responsibilities

• Design and deliver courses using practical, applied approaches that meet syllabus and program goals.
• Develop and integrate educational technology resources to enhance instruction.
• Assess student performance through tests, projects, assignments and provide continuous feedback.
• Advise and mentor students, including support during internships and at‑risk action plans.
• Conduct applied research, present at conferences, and serve on institutional committees.
• Maintain teaching facilities, prepare course assessment files, and contribute to curriculum revision.

Required profile

• Ph.D. in a relevant discipline, or a Master’s degree with professional certification and at least 5 years of combined teaching and industry experience; a Bachelor’s degree may be considered with extensive industry experience.
• Minimum of 3 years teaching experience in the relevant field.
• Relevant industry experience (preferred) and experience developing curricula that meet accreditation standards.
• Ability to incorporate educational technology into teaching and assessment.
