Faculty Position in Medical Laboratory Science

About the role

The Higher Colleges of Technology seeks a full‑time faculty member to deliver effective instruction in Medical Laboratory Science, support student success, and contribute to research and community activities.

Key responsibilities

• Teach undergraduate courses in Medical Laboratory Science using applied, student‑centered methods and assess student performance through tests, projects and assignments.
• Participate in academic and extracurricular events, serve on faculty and university committees, and engage in applied research aligned with national innovation priorities.
• Provide academic advising, mentor students during internships, and support at‑risk students with tailored action plans.
• Maintain teaching facilities, develop course materials, manage content and assessments, and contribute to curriculum revision and quality assurance.

Required profile

• Ph.D. in a relevant discipline, or a Master’s degree with professional certification and at least 5 years of combined teaching and industry experience; a Bachelor’s degree with extensive industry experience may also be considered.
• Minimum of 3 years of teaching experience in the relevant discipline and preferably 3 years of industry experience.
• Experience developing curricula that meet accreditation and international standards and incorporating educational technology.

• Use of educational technology resources for instruction and assessment.
• Curriculum development and accreditation compliance.
• Applied research and publication in the field of medical laboratory science.
