Family Medicine Physician - Dubai

About the role

A healthcare provider in Dubai is expanding its primary care services and is looking for a qualified Family Medicine Physician to join its multidisciplinary clinical team. The role is based in the multispecialty hospital outpatient department and focuses on patient-centred care for a diverse community, with integrated diagnostics and specialist referral support.

Key responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive primary care to patients of all ages, with continuity of care and long-term management
• Conduct clinical assessments, examinations and diagnostic evaluations to diagnose and treat acute and chronic conditions
• Manage chronic diseases such as diabetes, hypertension, cardiovascular and respiratory disorders, thyroid and metabolic disorders according to evidence-based guidelines
• Deliver preventive care including health screenings, immunisations, lifestyle counselling and early detection initiatives
• Develop individualised treatment plans, follow up patients and educate them on health maintenance, nutrition and lifestyle
• Coordinate specialist referrals and ensure follow-up care
• Maintain accurate electronic medical records and take part in clinical governance, quality improvement and patient safety programmes
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and comply with UAE healthcare regulations and hospital policies

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years of experience after specialist or board certification
• Recognised specialist qualification such as ABFM, UK CCT / MRCGP, European Board, Royal College (Canada), FRACGP / FACRRM, Arab Board, or MD, DNB, FNB, DrNB, DM, FCPS or equivalent
• Eligibility for DHA / DOH / MOH licensing, with guidance and support provided
