F&B Receiving Clerk – Cost Control Specialist

About the role

Time Out Market is preparing to open its first location in Abu Dhabi. The F&B Receiving Clerk will own cost control across the market, maintaining tight control over food and beverage costs and delivering analysis that supports purchasing, pricing and margin protection.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain robust control over food and beverage costs, including wastage, pilferage and efficiency.
• Prepare variance analysis for food and beverage and communicate findings to relevant parties.
• Update and maintain goods receipts in the system and verify discounts, voids and settlements on POS.
• Check cost of sales in all F&B outlets to ensure costs stay within budget.
• Monitor menu pricing on POS systems and ensure correct prices are loaded.
• Conduct surprise spot checks and daily revenue report verification.
• Prepare daily and monthly cost reports, menu engineering analyses and ABC analysis of high‑value items.
• Develop EOQ models, update recipes and pricing in the stock control system, and run monthly stock takes.
• Act as custodian of Fixed Asset and FF&E items, performing quarterly counts.
• Collaborate closely with the finance team and wider market management, completing reconciliations and ad‑hoc reports.

Required profile

• Business degree with experience working in a finance team.
• Strong analytical and reasoning skills.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities.
• Ability to work with an international audience.
• Possession of the required work card and proof of eligibility to work in the United Arab Emirates.
