About the role
Egis is seeking a Field Systems Engineer to lead site surveys and support substation automation projects across Abu Dhabi. The role focuses on capturing field device data, assessing protocol support and guiding architecture adaptations for dual‑LDC operations.
Key responsibilities
- Lead site surveys and capture field device/configuration data.
- Assess protocol support, obsolescence and adaptation needs for dual‑LDC operations.
- Conduct site visits to substations and pump stations.
- Evaluate WAMS/PQA/WMS/EDL inputs for architecture and adaptation scope.
Required profile
- Degree in Electrical or Control Engineering.
- 8+ years of experience with substation automation, RTUs/IEDs, recorders and WAMS/PQA.
- Proven experience on transmission automation upgrade projects.
